A Request from Care Direct Plus

In March 2009, Care Direct Plus installed a new telephone system to help them respond better to people contacting their service. In the first 6 months, they have taken 24327 calls in the Assessment and Review Team from people wanting information and help for adults with social care needs, and they have been able to answer 70% first time.

They want to continue to improve the way in which they respond to people calling them. Before the new phone system was installed, Centre Managers held a series of stakeholder forums to get input from service users, carers and professionals to the way it would work. They promised to review the system once it had been in place for a while to find out as much as possible about the way they respond to people calling them and what they still need to work on.

Care Direct Plus are asking you for your input if you have either contacted Care Direct Plus for social care or can pass this questionnaire on to someone who has. If this is not the case, please accept their apologies for disturbing you.

The questionnaire has multi-choice answers and takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. You do not have to take part, and you do not have to give your name. However, if you feel able to complete a questionnaire, your views will be taken into account in the review of HiPath and may lead to changes in the way the system works.

Care Direct Plus will write to you again in the New Year to let you know what they have found out and what they are going to do about it.

Please complete the attached questionnaire, and either send it back electronically by email to acshipathreview-mailbox@devon.gov.uk or post the completed questionnaire to Alison Bott, First Floor, The Annexe, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter, EX2 4QD.

Please ensure all completed questionnaires are returned by 23rd December 2009.
