Privacy, dignity and respect – has the NHS got it right?

Devon Provider Services is the patient facing part of NHS Devon. This includes all our community hospitals, community (district) nurses, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and many other services (for a full list please visit http://www.devonpct.nhs.uk/default.asp?pg=4 )

We are looking at the standards we set ourselves to promote and maintain the privacy, dignity and respect of all people who use our services and are drafting a policy to set this out. To make sure we are on the right track, we would welcome input into this process from patients, carers, relatives and members of the public.

We would like to invite you to a focus group where we can discuss this work together. We are holding two focus groups:

Tuesday 22 June, 10.30 - 12 at Honiton hospital
http://www.devonpct.nhs.uk/default.asp?pg=98#hon

Thursday 24 June, 10.30-12 at Okehampton hospital
http://www.devonpct.nhs.uk/default.asp?pg=98#oke

If you would like to come, please contact Jo Curtis, PALS and patient experience manager to book you on to an event and give you more information. If you are interested in this work but are unable to attend, please contact Jo anyway so she can liaise with you to ensure your input.
