Sexual Health Services Review
NHS Devon has asked Brook to undertake an independent review of sexual health services locally.
NHS Devon is committed to ensuring that the residents of Devon have easy access to effective and efficient sexual health services that are able to consistently meet their needs, no matter what part of the county they live in. Meeting this commitment will be challenging, especially in light of predicted public spending restrictions.
Brook will be looking at 3 specific things:
- What is it like to be on the receiving end of sexual health services across Devon?
- What do people in Devon want from their sexual health services?
- What would an integrated sexual health service specification look like for Devon?
In addition Brook will also review:
- Commissioning and governance arrangements
Brook will be conducting a series of stakeholder events, undertaking a service audit and, using the outcomes of these to model and test service development recommendations with key stakeholders, who will be identified at the outset of the review.
The review will run throughout the summer and report in September 2010. LINk will keep you up to date with dates of events and developments.
