LINk Devon Training Courses 2009
Free training is offered to all registered LINk participants to enable them to participate in the LINk.
There are many different ways in which people can get involved and different types of training opportunities are offered to reflect this. For example, some training is arranged on a one-to-one basis following a training needs assessment. Other participants may be able to access places on training that is already provided by other organisations within the local voluntary and community sector.
A series of core training modules is offered to all participants. This training has been developed by experts and is used by a number of different LINks. The modules are delivered by Host staff, so that participants can talk about how the material relates to their local area. The modules are:
- Understanding the System
- Being Accountable
- Decision Making
- Enter and View Visits
LINk Devon participants are also able to access two additional modules:
- Speaking Up
- Diversity
Details of when these modules are being run will be found on this page, which will be updated regularly. These modules are also sometimes offered to local groups or organisations to help them to become more involved in the LINk.

Regional Learning Events
LINk Devon is part of a regional network of LINks. Representatives of LINks, Hosts and local authorities from all over the Southwest meet regularly to share good practice and information. Regional learning events also take place regularly and are an opportunity to learn more about topics that are important to a number of LINks and to meet people from other areas.
The next Regional Learning Event will be advertised here
